Experience the office of the future with an interactive discussion of the multi-generational workplace. Hosted in the innovative Knoll work spaces showcased at Environments NW, small groups will tackle discussing topics highlighting how different generational attitudes, values/beliefs, work ethics/habits and expectations affect organizations. You are encouraged to bring your perspective and join other professionals representing multiple generations for a conversation about the culture of the workplace.

What generation are you?
Generation Z : 1996 or later
Millennials : 1977-1995
Xennial : 1977-1983
Generation X: 1965-1976
Baby boomers: 1946-1964
Traditionalists: 1945 and before

Program:
5:30-6:00 pm – Check in and receive your name tag, color coded to identify your generation
6:00 pm – 6:15 pm – Welcome, overview of the evening’s programming and words from our event sponsors: Environments NW
6:15 pm – 7:00 pm – Break out into small groups of 6-8 people at different locations throughout the showroom. Table numbers will be noted on the nametag. Tables will agree on notetaker/ambassador. There will be a person at each table who kickstarts with an ice breaker, to get the conversation rolling. The intent is to discuss 1 or 2 questions under the 3 main topics of culture, tech & mentoring. The questions will be broadcast on a monitor and some hard copies at tables.
7:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Come back as a big group and each table’s ambassador reports on what was discussed.
7:30 pm – 7:35 pm – Closing remarks and a call for action:
Our challenge to you – Make time to schedule a coffee meet up or lunch with someone in your architecture community or firm from a different generation!
7:35 pm – 8:00 pm – Networking
