Entry Level Architectural Designer

Tim is a recent Master of Architecture graduate from the University of Oregon, currently working in the Burlington, Vermont area.  He is currently focusing on architecture at the intersection of the urban, rural and natural through a sustainably crafted lens.

His thesis, Next Generation Schools, explores the future of educational infrastructure. With a focus on inclusive schools, it highlights the importance of providing equal educational opportunities to all types of learners.

Originally growing up in the Boston area, he took a high school drafting course that led him to pursue architecture. He attended Roger Williams University on academic and leadership scholarships. Graduating in the top 10% of his class he earned an undergraduate degree in architecture with minor studies in sustainability and art and architectural history while mentoring first-year students.

Studying internationally, in Vancouver, BC and Florence, Italy, he turned his focus to architecture in the urban contexts of the young and the established.  While in Italy, he worked with a 5-person Italian team at the Università degli Studi di Firenze taking a 2nd place finish out of 25 teams in a design competition and was then published in AND Magazine based out of Milan, Italy. In Vancouver, he studied under a former Pixar animator and architecture faculty, kinetic architecture, urban design, animation, rendering and solid modeling softwares.

His passion of architecture and design includes fabrication techniques and sustainability.  His work at both the U of Oregon Fabrication Lab, focusing on digital fabrication, and Birdseye, working with craftspeople has allowed him to learn the importance of material properties in the built context.  During graduate school, each project he completed used CLT construction attempting to push the boundaries of current construction material usage.

Tim looks to make a positive impact the lives of people and the natural world through design.
