The Move and Interiors Team within Design and Construction at OHSU has five main programs: Material and Finish Standards, Furniture, Move Coordination, Signage, and Art. The Moves and Interiors Team provides scope and budgets for project programming in these five areas, and all sustaining and major capital projects managed by Design and Construction are assigned a Move and Interiors Team member to coordinate and consult on the required programs.

As leader of Move and Interiors, the Project Team Manager (PTM) will be the primary representative for the five programs and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on continued development and enforcement of standards and processes. The position includes collaboration with other OHSU departments and committees including the Wayfinding Committee, Art Committee, Healthcare Interiors Finishes Committee, Logistics, Campus Planning, Facilities, Safety and Inspection, General Construction, Environmental Services, and Environmental Health and Safety. The Project Team Manager negotiates contracts and relationships with outside vendors for products and services such as furniture, art and signage.

The Project Team Manager is responsible for managing the M+I Team which includes tracking workload and assigning projects for multiple projects annually. The PTM is critical to the success of projects managed by Design & Construction in both Sustaining and Major Capital programs, and will need to coordinate and collaborate with the PTMs for these programs regularly.  M+I project support requires consistent interface as a vital contributor to objectives and overall project success across the organization.

Project Team Managers frequently contact by telephone, in writing, and in-person OHSU staff and executive management to give consultation. The Design and Construction department is a service based department, and a high degree of service orientation is required. The Project Team Manager is expected to display a high level of professionalism, including possessing the ability to navigate a large, complex organization.


Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or similar.

At least ten (10) years of experience in architectural design in the healthcare and research environments.

5+ years’ experience managing multiple direct reports.
