Successful candidates will have a degree from an NCAARB accredited university, a minimum of eight years professional experience and possess:


  • unique skills which demonstrate an interest and passion for architectural design in healthcare
  • drive to use design of the built environment to improve health outcomes
  • exceptional client management and communication skills
  • demonstrated experience in medical planning and programming
  • ability to collaboratively lead diverse project teams
  • excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams
  • ability to think creatively and solve complex problems
  • ability to prioritize and concurrently address multiple tasks from concept to completion
  • technical proficiency, knowledge of construction detailing and specifications
  • expertise in building systems, codes and accessibility requirements including the FGI and NFPA standards
  • ability to guide research and selection of appropriate materials and building finish products suitable to project requirements
  • experience in project planning, programming and conceptual design
  • experience coordinating medical equipment and owner FF&E requirements
  • interest in developing research around the impacts of the built environment on health
  • familiarity with WELL Building Standard and EDAC Certification preferred
  • Revit and Adobe CS experience preferred
