Sample more than a 100 years of classical beauty, modern marvels, pioneering firsts and the newest in contemporary and sustainable design.  This downtown “walk about” highlights the most significant styles, architects and stories of the 20th & 21st centuries.  Featuring individual works by Whidden & Lewis, A.E Doyle, Pietro Belluschi, and Michael Graves, the tour also spotlights the modernist contributions of SOM, the contemporary designs of ZGF, TVA and SERA and special, less well-known gems.  From the oldest to the newest, from the smallest to the tallest, witness the dynamic growth of the Rose City through the history and detail of its unique built environment!

This 2 hour tour starts at 11 AM at the Center For Architecture (CFA), NW 11th and Flanders in The Pearl and ends near the Portland Building, SW Main and 5th Avenue. Plan for a little more than a mile walk on mostly flat terrain with some moderate grades.  If needed, catch MAX light rail near the last stop on our tour for a ride back to the CFA !
