In 1993, Auburn University professor and architect Samuel Mockbee founded the Rural Studio, a design-build architecture lab in which students conceive and construct homes and community spaces in the depressed Alabama community of Hale County. This documentary captures this program's innovative vision of architecture as a social art form capable of elevating the human spirit.
Doors open at 5:30 pm, film at 6:00 pm.
